Any Tips on beating the Elite Four in Platinum?

Just great, first I had the problem with trying to get a female chimchar, but now I have a even bigger problem; Beating the Elite Four in Platinum. So I just wanted to ask the people of Deviantart, if they have any good tips, or items I can use. The Pokemon I have in my party right now are: Pikachu, Chimchar, Staraptor, Buizel, and a Gliscor. Lol, I've had the game over 2 months and I still didn't beat it.

Oh yeah~I almost forgot to ask! How do you connect your DS to WFC? I wanna try to get a Shaymin, and my Rotom Key; Every time I try to connect it never works...please help me :/ (I gotta start trading Pokemon over the Global Trading Station.) Once I get WFC I can add you to my friend list, and stuff.

I'm still trying to beat the elite 4, but I cant because my DS broke. The only chance I get to play it is when my cousin comes over with her DS Lite^^;
